Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Calheta

In the 2019/20 school year, ESESJC was invited by Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Calheta to carry out a joint application to the European Social Fund (ESF) in the area of informal care. This application was successful, and the project was approved on 06/25/2020  (Consult).

This extension project is included in the Priority Axis: Promoting social inclusion and combating poverty ESF social and health intervention services and networks, and aims to promote caregiver skills in assisting the elderly at home, enhancing the quality of life of involved, through a free intervention program to train informal caregivers.

365 Days of Smiles

 

Also during this school year, another application was made for the BPI Foundation 'La Caixa' Seniores Prize, in partnership with the Associação de Desenvolvimento da Ribeira Brava (ADBrava).

The application was approved and the project aims to provide home services and training for informal caregivers and improve the autonomy and living conditions of the elderly and the most vulnerable informal caregivers (Consult).

The project is entitled 365 days of smiles and has several activities planned. We emphasize the webinars and weekly meetings with caregivers.
